Listening, Reflecting, and Adapting for Community-Grounded Philanthropy

The team initially planned to hold a community event with our community partner and organization, Kimeona Kane and 808 Cleanups, to develop an ʻuala patch at Kaloko Inlet. Through the planning and continual reflection, they pivoted to use this year to learn more about philanthropy in order to develop our philanthropic mindset and skills to be more intentional with how to connect with our community and its needs. Pivoting to ask Community Partners what was needed for the Waimanalo community which led to a longer, more impactful project that continues.
