Nā Alakaʻi ʻŌpio (Youth Philanthropy Leaders)

Students designed a tutoring program after school for lower school students to be tutored by upper school students in specialized areas of study. The tutoring program is currently in the development stages and will be implemented next year. In addition to participating in all the HCYP board sessions, our students hosted the entire HCYP organization to create a social event for HCYP, held at our school campus. This required much logistics and planning with the group and brought people together for an evening of shared interest and community. Finally, the student leaders shared insights and reflections from their HCYP experiences with the Interact Club, with plans for more structured sharing and mentorship in the coming year.
